We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading Blue Chip Utilities client for a number of multiple Procurement Category Specialists within their Construction/Infrastructure procurement team.

The opportunities have come about to support a number of key projects in enhancing their green energy offering and investing in long term growth of the team.

We are looking for experienced Procurement Specialists with category knowledge across the Construction, Infrastructure or Utilities sector. This is due to working on major energy projects, utilising NEC/JCT contracts, therefore a competent knowledge of these contracts will be desirable.

You will be working closely with the Category leads, to execute the category strategy across various category areas such as Batteries, Solar, Construction Services, Asset Management and Infrastructure. Taking responsibility for end-to-end management of category strategies and playing a part in the success of the team.

Experience required:

• Direct procurement experience in various areas, such as EPC procurement, large construction projects with FIDIC or NEC Contracts, projects involving CHP, Peaker engines, BESS, or Solar installations, and manufacturing solar, BESS, or ancillary equipment.
• Experience performing end-to-end Category Management activities.
• Desirable certifications include MCIPS or ISM, though not mandatory.
• Ability to translate stakeholder requirements and market dynamics into a clear category strategy.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking, linking the category strategy to business needs.
• Strong knowledge of navigating market dynamics and commercial awareness.
• Competence in commercial negotiation and construction contract drafting (FIDIC, NEC, JCT, or similar).

Our client offers very flexible hybrid working with only 2/3 days office per month. They also have offices across London, Southeast, Midlands and Yorkshire, so are considering candidates Nationwide.
