Group Head of Procurement

We are looking to engage with experienced, senior level procurement professionals who are passionate about driving efficiency, and have a proven background in change and process improvement…       

Our client is a major infrastructure organisation who impact all our lives and contribute £ billions into the UK economy each year.

This really is an excellent opportunity for the right person to work with our client’s senior leadership team and help move the business to the next level.

You will need to have experience in major infrastructure/Construction projects (multimillion £), have great strategic vision, and be a proven "hands on" leader.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

• To set out and implement the vision and design for the procurement function for the next 5 years.
• The day-to-day management of a team of Circa 15.
• To set out and implement procurement sustainability strategy for procurement.
• To standardise procurement across the business units and areas.
• Oversight and management of major infrastructure procurement projects (£100 million plus)

YOU WILL HAVE:

• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills across all levels.
• Team Management experience.
• Infrastructure / large construction project experience.
• A senior strategic procurement background where you have designed and implanted. procurement change and improvement programmes.

** This role can be based at a number of sites – however REGULAR TRAVEL to other sites is expected (including the NE and South Coast).
