CONGRATULATIONS to all the Winners and Finalist of last night’s 2021 CIPS Excellence in Procurement Awards and the overall winner, the Vaccine Taskforce who identified, procured and deployed the first vaccines in the world.
The Vaccine Taskforce Procurement Team of Industry, Government and Academics’ tackled what was believed to be an unachievable task, overcoming worldwide material shortages, port closures, Brexit and EU export restrictions and doing so helping save tens of thousands of lives, allowing the UK economy to open up and for people to reunite with family and friends. Truly a remarkable achievement and a wonderful demonstration of what a world beating procurement team can achieve.
